Introduction to Welding.

Welding Skill Improvement. Introduction or presentation of the process.

Theoretical and practical evaluation of the welder.

OBJECTIVES

  • To operate and manage welding parameters correctly.
  • To prepare the edges of the pieces and align them properly based on thickness.
  • To observe and control the molten pool, adjust the welding speed, and master torch handling.
  • To perform adequate filler metal deposition during different passes.
  • To weld plates flat, end-to-end, and at angles.
  • To know and apply hygiene and safety regulations.

CONTENT

  • Presentation of the facilities
  • Hygiene and safety
  • Materials, equipment, standards, gases
  • Practical demonstrations: preparation of welded joints
  • Practical demonstrations of butt welding and angular welding in various positions
  • Individual exercises with instructor assistance

ADMISSION CONDITIONS

No prerequisites.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Anyone wishing to improve their skills in one of these processes.

EXAMINATION

Continuous feedback and comments from the instructor.

RECOGNITION

Certificate of participation.

Participants must bring their own personal protective equipment: work clothes, safety shoes, welding jacket, gloves, and welding mask.

Otherwise, they must either equip themselves at their own expense before the course starts at our store or rent equipment for the duration of the course (CHF 50), including a jacket, a pair of gloves, and an automatic welding mask.
